Departure from Montgenevre
In the late afternoon, you meet at the ski school office. Your guide will hand out the snowshoes — very efficient, very professional — and make sure your gear is absolutely perfect. Then you’re taken in a our private shuttle to Claviere.
Snowmobile tow ascent in Claviere
You cross the border to reach Claviere on the Italian side — a wonderful place, really fantastic. Once there, you hop into sleds pulled by powerful snowmobiles for the ride up to the summits. It’s strong, it’s exciting, it’s exactly the kind of climb people talk about later — truly tremendous.
Mulled wine at altitude
At the summit, a mulled wine is waiting for you — warm atmosphere, incredible scenery, absolutely amazing.
Snowshoe walk under the stars
You head off on a short guided walk — easy for everyone, no problem at all. It’s the perfect moment to enjoy the silence, the star-filled sky, and the lights of the valley below. Really peaceful, really beautiful — people love it.
Traditional Italian dinner in the mountain hut
You wrap up the evening in a classic Italian mountain hut: antipasti, big hearty hot dishes, desserts and a coffee to finish — the real deal. Then it’s back down to Claviere and finally to Montgenevre. A perfect ending, absolutely fantastic.

Do I need to know how to drive a snowmobile?
Not at all. You’re simply a passenger — wonderfully straightforward and easily accessible.
Is the outing suitable for children?
Yes, children can absolutely join in. The snowshoe walk is very accessible. And if they’d rather not take part, they’re welcome to stay at the mountain hut with an adult and wait for the group to return — a cosy little pause in the adventure.
What should I wear for the evening?
A HELMET, and your classic ski outfit — warm clothes, good gloves, proper winter shoes. The snowshoes, ah, they are waiting for you right up there, bellissimi! If you have ski poles, bring them, sì. If not, no problem at all — we’ll lend you a pair with a smile, like family welcoming you home, mamma mia che gioia!
Is the outing physically difficult?
No, none at all! The snowmobile ride requires absolutely no effort — it just shakes a little, *like a joyful Italian espresso in your stomach!* And the snowshoe walk is short, gentle, made for everyone, *tutti insieme, tranquilli*. The idea is to enjoy yourself, not to do intense sport — davvero, it’s pure pleasure!
Does the activity depend on the weather?
Yes, for safety reasons — sicurezza prima di tutto! If the snow conditions are not favourable, the outing may be postponed. You will be informed as quickly as possible.
Do we cross the border?
Yes! The whole evening takes place on the Italian side, in Claviere — che meraviglia! And you are fully looked after from Montgenevre, guided every step of the way.
How long does the evening last?
In general, the evening lasts between 3½ and 4½ hours, depending on the conditions and the rhythm of the group — piano piano, together, enjoying every moment like a long, beautiful Italian night.
