APEAK starts with a belief: to learn to ski or snowboard, you need room to try, make mistakes, try again and feel that your instructor is paying attention. Small groups become our natural way of teaching.

APEAK began in Montgenèvre with a simple idea: people learn better when they feel at ease, spend more time skiing and have an instructor who knows them.
Where it all began
It started here.
Montgenèvre is where we ski and where we work. APEAK began here in 2001. The aim was to create a ski school on a human scale, where we have time to get to know the people who come skiing with us.
Over the winters, the team grew. Some pupils returned with their children. Snowboarding, private lessons and evenings in the mountains became part of the story. The thread running through it all has stayed the same: enjoying the snow and building confidence together.

The APEAK trail.
It is a story of choices, encounters and many days spent on the snow.
Joining the ESI family
We join the Écoles de Ski Internationales. We share a network and a teaching approach while keeping our own way of welcoming families and our close connection to Montgenèvre.
The same spirit, a bigger team
Children, teens and adults, first-timers and experienced skiers: our state-qualified instructors help each person move forward at their own pace. We teach in English, French and Italian on the slopes of Montgenèvre and the Milky Way ski area.
One of our favourite moments? Seeing someone who said “I’ll never manage it” ask, a little later, “Can we do another run?”

Less waiting. More skiing.
Small groups are more than a line in a brochure. On the slopes, they mean less time standing in a queue, more turns and an instructor who can actually watch each pupil.
Does a child need reassurance? Is an adult finding their confidence again? Is a teenager ready for a little more? We can adapt the lesson without leaving the rest of the group behind.

The right instructor at the right time.
Our instructors are state-qualified and know the local slopes. For us, a good lesson takes more than technical knowledge: you also need to listen, find the right words and know when to encourage or slow down.
Some people come for their first turns. Others want to regain confidence, try snowboarding or explore more of the mountain. We help them find a lesson that fits.
We go at your pace.

For us, the best proof is the lesson you experience, the confidence you gain and the wish to get back on your skis the next day.
Your own way down the mountain
Sometimes you need time just for yourself.
Group lessons have their own energy. A private lesson gives you something different: time to work on a movement, return to skiing without pressure or share a day with the people close to you.
We talk about your level, what you would like to do and how much time you have. Then we shape the session around you, whether you ski, snowboard or telemark.

When was APEAK ski school founded?
APEAK began in Montgenèvre in 2001 and joined the Écoles de Ski Internationales (ESI) network in 2007.
What makes your ski school in Montgenèvre different?
We choose small groups, pay attention to each pupil and care about confidence as much as technique. The best way to feel that difference is to ski with us.
Do you teach adults and complete beginners too?
Yes. We teach children, teenagers and adults, from their first turns to advanced levels, in group or private lessons.
What languages are lessons available in?
Lessons can be arranged in English, French and Italian, depending on instructor availability.
