ESI Snowboard Levels
Beginner
First Steps in Snowboarding
From 7 years old
If you’ve never snowboarded before, this is the place to start. You’ll get the hang of your balance, learn to control your board, and make your first turns safely—and have fun doing it!
Bronze Board
Entry Requirements
I’ve got my ESI Miniboard or I’ve done a one-week intro to snowboarding. I can comfortably do the 'falling leaf' on the backside and a bit on the frontside. I’ve landed a few turns, but I’m still getting the hang of them
Silver Board
Entry Requirements
I’ve got my Bronze Board. I ride comfortably on blue runs, keeping my speed under control. I’ve got the basics of turning on both sides down and I’m ready to progress onto red runs. I’m confident using the lifts on my own
Vermeil Board
Entry Requirements
I’ve got my Silver Board. I ride comfortably on red runs, keeping my speed and lines under control. I can make smooth, linked turns on both frontside and backside, and handle quick transitions between the two. I can ride on varied terrain: steep slopes, bumps, and powder. I’m confident and manage my own safety, and I’m ready to explore black runs, carving, and my first freestyle or off-piste experiences
Gold Board
Entry Requirements
I’ve got my Vermeil Board. I ride confidently on all runs, including black runs, and I have full control over my speed and lines. I can carve precise, linked turns and handle smooth transitions across all types of terrain. I can ride off-piste and in deep snow safely. I practice freestyle with tricks like jumps, spins, and presses in the snowpark. I control my ride in all conditions and I’m ready to push my limits on any terrain
Freeride Course
Entry Requirements
I’ve got my Gold Board and I’m pumped to join the Freeride Course, sharing the week with skiers. What’s on the agenda: shredding off-piste, learning safety skills, and riding confidently on all kinds of snow and terrain
