Required level

  • Comfortable on black runs
  • Can control speed without panicking

If you can ski a black run without needing emotional support at the bottom, you’re in the right place.

Typical session

Safety
Beacon & safety gear briefing

Quick but serious avalanche transceiver briefing, shovel, probe and group rules – no drama, just what you really need to know.

Technique
Warm-up & off-piste basics

Warm-up on piste, then first lines off the side: stance, rhythm and how not to fight the snow (spoiler: the snow always wins).

Freeride
Off-piste routes adapted to the group

Routes chosen according to the level of the group, snow conditions and your energy left after fondue.

Gear & safety

Itineraries

A few tasty lines

Off-piste routes, open powder fields, playful terrain – enough to make your legs happy and your Instagram slightly unbearable.

Les Vallons de la Doire

Perfect warm-up line: easy access, wide open slopes, very few obstacles and plenty of room to draw your own track. Lots of variations possible.

La Combe du Loup

Stunning view over the Clarée valley, Briançon and Serre Chevalier. The slope gradually steepens – your thighs will definitely get the memo, but it’s incredibly good fun.

La Petite Doire

Short but spicy: natural features, trees and small rocks to play with. Freeriders’ playground rather than Sunday cruise.

Les Vallons de la Vachette

Easy start, then a descent through the forest with old fortifications and proper mountain terrain. Feels like skiing through a postcard with history.

Le Grand Charvia

Short hike with skis on the shoulder (15–20 minutes), then huge open slopes and wide-angle views towards Italy. Proper big-mountain feel without needing oxygen masks.

…and the “secret” ones

There are many more lines around Montgenèvre. The best ones don’t always have names – and we like to keep a few surprises for when you’re here.
