Safety — our commitment
Safety is at the heart of every off-piste trip in Montgenèvre. Each participant is equipped with a complete avalanche safety kit: beacon, shovel and probe (plus a backpack).
Depending on the group’s level, time may also be dedicated to avalanche rescue basics: recognising warning signs, searching for a victim and applying rescue procedures.

What equipment do I need?

What type of lift pass do I need?
In most cases, the standard Montgenèvre lift pass (including access to “Monte della Luna”) is sufficient.
Insurance: how does it work?
Even with professional supervision, the instructor’s professional liability insurance mainly covers professional fault. Personal insurance is recommended for rescue costs, medical care, repatriation and unexpected issues during your stay.
